Jaroslav Vydra was born in the Czech Republic, a country well-known for producing some of the finest glass and crystal products in the world. Jaroslav completed school in Karlovy Vary where he was trained and worked at Moser, perhaps the most renowned producer of crystal in the world. Jaroslav is one of only a handful of people in the world who may be justly called a Master Engraver. Using the ancient copper wheel engraving technique, Jaroslav designs and creates images of breathtaking complexity and subtlety by hand. Jaroslav arrived in Canada in 1987 where he has expanded his work into multiple mediums. Jaroslav's work has been commissioned internationally by royalty, politicians and celebrities.
